Nicole Cook cleared of any financial irregularity report confirms

EBU CHARGE DISMISSED: A financial charge made by the EBU Chief Executive against bridge organiser Nicole Cook (Barclay) was dismissed at the Disciplinary Hearing held in September 2021. The committee decided he had failed to present sufficient evidence to prove financial irregularity and could not evidence dishonesty, so the charge was dismissed.

Nicole Barclay (Cook) took no part in the process, so the Disciplinary Committee approved the Chief Executive’s complaint of insubordination and misconduct. And “sentenced” Nicole to a suspension of EBU membership for a period of 6 months, noting that Nicole is a person of infleunce and authority.

This Written Report explains the decision. And this Notification of Decision details the scope of the sanction.

Nicole Cook bridge case is an example of the many MISCARRIAGES OF JUSTICE that ARE DETRIMENTAL TO BRIDGE

In no communication about Nicole Cook’s bridge case by the EBU were the actual findings of the Disciplinary Committee’s decision ever published, only the Chief Executive’s accusation.

The tactics adopted by the Chief Executive towards Nicole Cook misinformed the membership, wasted multiple members time and EBU resources, bullied other EBU directors and resulted in the EBU being depriving of licencing incomes.

Other players have been convicted on flimsy evidence around the world.
